SOUTHERN SPAIN

GRANADA

Granada.

This beautiful is located at the foot of Sierra Nevada (mountain chain) where some rivers are born. In Sierra Nevada you can enjoy a long ski day, with amazing views to Gibraltar even morocco if it is a sunny day.

This might sound contradictory to the last paragraph, but Granada is in south of Spain, one of the hottest places of Europe. Granada is commonly known by its most renowned building called the Alhambra, Islamic arquitecture legacy which is located in the Albaycín neighbourhood. It has been declared a world heritage site by the UNESCO.

Another Islamic building that I recommend you to visit is the Generalife which is a garden attached to the Alhambra. Where you can find a peaceful environment a green atmosphere which will make you feel relax.

Last but not less Alcaicería is the place to come to for the experience of an Arabic market right in the middle of Europe.

Weather is mostly sunny at all seasons of the year, although it might go below zero in winter, but going above the 35ºC in summer. I recommend a middle season as it is spring so you don’t sweat a lot and you can enjoy the beauty of the patios of Granada.
